Video of the Day – Strongman Compilation

Here’s a cool compilation vid of some Strongman feats, with Scott Mendelson mixed in for good measure… Jesse Marunde is the first lifter featured, may he rest in peace. This video begins with Jesse Marunde demonstrating great strength with his 180lb dumbell lifts. The rest of the video shows some great highlights, followed by Scott Mendelson attempting to break the world bench press record. Check out the end where he drops it on his organs! That is not healthy.

Vid of the Day – Plyometric Training

Here is a guy doing bounding steps in a gym. This type of training is very important to develop explosive strength. As someone comments on youtube, you do have to be careful of your joints when doing training such as this. We recommend warming up before doing plyometric training and to always stop if you feel any pain.

Vid of the Day – Deadlifting Form

Here’s an example of how not to deadlift. As evidenced by his lack of erector muscles, this guy’s form is off. You can see his back-legs angle does not remain constant during the initial phase of the lift. He also leans back, meaning that he has to use his body mass to move the weight; not his legs.
